When Mark & Jessica were looking for "sequels" to "A Marshmallow World", "Sweet Gingerbread Man" seemed an obvious contender. But what to wash it down with? Mark liked the idea of a song about eggnog and went off to hunt for one. But he was amazed to find that, apart from a Kurt Cobain-type dirge about wanting to kill yourself while drinking eggnog, there was a noticeable dearth of anthems to the great Yuletide nectar. So he and Kevin Amos figured it would be easier just to write one themselves. Kevin gave it a wild orchestration, with plenty of tom-toms, and Mark & Jessica enjoyed singing the first ever version of this Christmas novelty number.
